Davinia Sutton – Kouzina Showroom, Christchurch, New Zealand

Known as the “Queen of Kitchens” Davinia Sutton is one of the most successful New Zealand interior designers, running her own boutique practice Detail by Davinia Sutton, specialising in internal architecture. Recently designing several working kitchens for Kouzina’s Christchurch showroom, the brief was centred around a modern monopitch pavilion setting that needed to reflect superior quality and detail, as well as showcase a high-level finish and execution. Pushing boundaries, the spatial layout was approached by forming the space into a “U” shape to showcase four strong kitchen elements with sleek, clean lines with the help of Miele’s lux finishes.

Morgan Cronin – Residential Home, Auckland, New Zealand

With over 30 years experience in the industry, award-winning kitchen designer Morgan Cronin believes the kitchen is the most complex room in a home, so therefore it’s the most important to get right. A recent client came to him with a brief to create the ultimate entertaining space, which resulted in a room that pushes boundaries and celebrates unique design with a bespoke central island. Morgan’s desire for both functionality and aesthetically pleasing elements were met with Miele’s innovative and built to last appliances. Even when faced with an extremely complex and technical project like this one, the precision and skill along with the selective choice of materials, allowed for a well-considered execution that was second to none, transforming a standard villa renovation into a unique sculptural kitchen.
